I hate the morning after conversations where people blow on about what they did "Ya biy, I was locked like!" et al, wrecks my head, nothing to be proud of IMO. That said mine'll be a Heineken please![]()

Drink is great as long as you can handle it. I love a pint and seem to be lucky in that I don't get hangovers.
I always have a laugh when I'm out but if it made me aggressive or made me feel down the day after, then I think I would have to think carefully about drinking.
Luckily it doesn't make me aggressive or feel like sh!te the next day so I'll carry on until it does![]()
the name of this thread should be credited to homer simpson.....
Ignore Max Power, he is no more, the future is Ron Burgundy. I'd love to be Ron Burgundy but they won't let me........

Trying not to sound old but as the year’s drag on you get fed up with the Friday/Monday morning hangover, especially the Monday hangover (Sunday is a dangerous day with soccer on Sky especially if they are showing two good matches then Spanish football etc) the horrors on Monday night![]()

Darts league on Wedensday is fecking up Thursdays on me this past 3 years.
I enjoy the pints of the black stuff on a Friday evening after a hard week’s work, reward and no work in the morning!!

Normally just drink pints (stella, miller etc), I can't seem to find Heineken on draught over here in ScotlandOriginally Posted by the 12 th man
. I like a vodka and coke too but only if I'm sick of the pints. Normally I suppose I'd have about 12 pints on a session.
Don't get me wrong, I normally feel fairly wiped out the day after a ****-up which I suppose some would call a hangover but luckily I've never had the banging head or felt ill. A lot of people don't believe this though for some reason![]()
I'm 28 now, almost 29 and I've always had people saying" if you don't get hangovers now, then you'll get them when you're older" but it's still never happened.
Luckily I dont get hangovers either, and also I get all giddy and start laughing rather than agressive
j'accuse!
I must say Dillo can get on the agressive side after a few from time to time! Not a good thing at all. JoeSemi is always up for a scrap!

I recently started drinking again after 3 months on lucozade's and 7ups (part of a weight loss/fitness thing). I have to say the whole "drinking to get drunk" thing has lost it's appeal to me, but I enjoy one or two pints of guinness, just to relax. Stopping after that is the heard part![]()
I've never tried stout yet! Heineken is the staple, but on the advice of my Dad In was told "try" Kilkenny [A stout/larger variant], supposed to be lovely but rare.

So if your moderate bahaviour occurs in moderation then 'the beast' has to come out every so often. Outrageous behaviour is therefore an integral part of moderation - I like your way of thinkingOriginally Posted by Peadar

probably an age thing but you still get people who seem to be able to drink what they like with no/little after effects.
Conor, doesn't this technically make you an alcoholic?.....Originally Posted by Conor74

Isn't the threshold supposed to be 2 units of alcohol per day, or something like that?

The only stout/lager combo I've heard of is a black & tan (an american thing, where you get half guinness, half harp) Thankfully never tried it. The name alone is a bit off-putting

Isn't anything over 5 pints a "binge" according to the experts?
Only seem to drink a couple of times a week since I moved out of town. Tend to have a major binge every 6-8 weeks though, normally at a match (lots of pints, plus a quick nip or a bottle of bucky). Wouldn't even think of cracking open a tin whilst watching the tele tbh.
Staples are Bulmers during the summer, Guinness during the winter, although this autumn I'm having trouble switching back to Guinness. Just to prove I am a catholic, I'd drink anything if it was cheap/strong enough. (except Carlsberg, the scouse rubbish).
If you attack me with stupidity, I'll be forced to defend myself with sarcasm.
I cant drink on week nights anymore. if i do, Im wrecked for 2 days afterwards. So I try to keep it to Friday and Saturdays only, with the occasional few during the week ie if there is a City match or meeting a buddy for whatever reason. If for no other reason, I couldnt afford to go pinting more often.
When i do go midweek I try to drink Becks. No hangover. I also avoid Tiger. Manky MANKY hangover.
Besides, i find that by no drinking during the week itll give you something to look forward to at the weekend.
