Owing to the close-ness of the vote for the new president, George Bush and John Kerry Agree to settle the issue by avoiding lengthy legal proceedings.

They agree to go to Alaska for a week, on their own each day for an ice fishing contest.
Simple rules- whoever gets the most fish wins the presidency.

Off they go, and at the end of the first day they both arrive to present their catch.
Kerry has 10 fish.
Bush has none.

No worries, there’s still plenty of time.

The second day ends and they both return to present their catch.
Kerry has 20 fish.
Bush has none.

Now there’s consternation in the Bush camp.

Dick Cheney suggests that Bush follow Kerry the next day to ensure he’s not cheating, and report on his findings.

At the end of the third day they return, both beaming.

Kerry has 30 fish.
Bush has none.

‘Well, what did you see?’ asks Cheney
‘He’s definitely cheating’ blurts Bush.

‘He’s cut a hole in the ice’!!
