League taking steps towards new chairman
The eircom League have tonight announced their decision to hold a special general meeting on Thursday with a view to electing a new chairman.
The move comes after the resignation of Declan O'Luanaigh last week. The meeting on Thursday will discuss and possibly implement rule changes which would allow for the election of a chairman before February's Annual General Meeting.

No new chairman and investigation approved
The eircom League Management Committee at its meeting this evening (Nov 8th) took the decision to hold a Special General Meeting on Thursday November 18th with a view to effect rule changes to facilitate the election of a Chairman of the eircom League until the League AGM in February 2005.
It is also understood that Dublin City's request to have their games postponed has been rejected. However, it is believed that their proposal that an investigation into the circumstances of former manager Roddy Collins' move to Shamrock Rovers has been acceded to.
