the complex belongs to clonmel town not celtic.
cooke park is probably best pitch in south tipp but i thought meself it would be on in fairyhouse?
should be a great tie anywho, best of luck to celtic.

Celtic an Cooke park are just as good as the other except cooke park is bigger couldn play it in ferryhouse pitches down there are awful. Gonna be a crackin game.
Fairyhouse??? Jesus wept. I assume you mean Ferryhouse. How could you possibly expect to play a FAI Junior Cup semi final in Ferryhouse?? To address the original question, The Complex is a decent pitch but the running track would take away from atmosphere of such a big game. Cooke Park is a big pitch and great playing surface so it was always going to be an obvious choice.
Best of luck to Clonmel Celtic today gonna be a tough ask but it is 11v11 so anything can happen.
1nil to sheriff at. Ht good first half to. Be fair
Full time 1 nil sheriff not a great game but sheriff are in the final
I thought that North inner city Dubs were made of harder stuff. Sheriff spent most of the second half rolling around on the ground. Bad enough seeing this carry on on tv without it spreading to the amateur game.
Sheriff v liffey FAI final
What a complete mismatch another handy fai for sheriff 4 goals or more in final
By what's I seen of sheriff up in clonmel I wouldn't be banking on them for 4goals never mind the win.....
game should of been played in fairyhouse or the wilderness, celtic win games there, they dont in cooke park. all joking aside, complex would of been a better option. yaya cooke park is great for spectators but on these big days, its about the players not the spectators.
unlucky anyway celtic, hoping ye can win the league.
some win for sherriff in fairness away.

Fairyhouse? It was a game of soccer not a horse race! Game couldn't have been played in the Wilderness or Ferryhouse as neither would meet FAI standards. Celtic didn't lose because they played in Cooke Park, they lost because they came up against a very clever experienced and good side in Sheriff. There's a reason why they have dominated the FAI Junior Cup for the last few years. Celtic gave it a go especially in the second half but I think they needed to be more imaginative in the last 10/15 mins.
for me it was a case of sherrif being very cute, got the early goal which settled any pre match nerves or jitters that that might have creeped in on the journey down !! considering the players they were missing , they were happy out to defend to the hilt and tried to snatch a second which would have seen them home and dry a lot earlier in the tie !!! celtic are a good side and can count themselves very unlucky to have not got to at least extra time, 2 massive penalty clams waved away and massive pressure on sherrif for the last 20 mins or so but couldn't get that ball into the net, pity because i think they might have won it had they got 1 !!
Any score in the junior final?
Liffey wanderers are 1up at half time
Any update?
1-1 full time just gone into extra time
