i know joe sadly i was talking about in a perfect world which as we sadly know doesnt exist
however if the take over does go through i do think they should make a serious raid on pike fairview janesboro and balla if they picked up the top players from there they would have serious strenght in depth plus it may also encourage more local support

Local support? - if we did that they'd just hate us more.

I know what you are saying. These are interesting times. I'd prefer a raid on other eL clubs. I think an all-Limerick winning side would get great support. However, a Limerick winning side would also get support irrespective of where the players came from. I'd love to see Behan in, O'Flynn back, Sweeney back and Keating sticking with us for the season. Two out of thsoe would be a result. I think Paddy Purcell and Bobby Ryan are just out of reach - for the time being...

Behan is a gent, dont know where you got that information on him. He'd be a welcome addition to LFC....certainly he'd give a lot more to the team than the last import from Cork City...

I had heard that he is a bit disruptive and can cause a bit of disharmony in the dressing room. I'm not disputing he's a nice guy though.

I think that Paddy Purcell might not be as out of reach as you'd think, apparently he's not happy with the amount of travel he has to do with Waterford.

Behan is it? I wouldn't think so. He's known as being a messer alright and seems to be the dressing room joker from what I've heard, but I've never heard anything about him causing trouble

huh? Kerly for Finucane? If this is a fantasy Limerick FC side you really need better fantasies.

    one of our own

and i wouldnt have John McGrath near my beloved limerick either and hes from limerick too, what u gonna say about that FC Hammer? if these players are "happy" in reserve and conference team football in engerland and dont want a challenge then fu*k um! we dont want them, i hated the cranberries too and they were "one of our own". But they were crap! if accepting "one of our own" is equalling to ****e of our own then they (as of next season) dont belong with us.

Hey, I think my smiley should have have indicated that I didn't intend to be taken seriously. In truth it was more of a dig at certain posters who seem to have a bit of a fixation with certain players...

Ahhh...love me simple.... I also remember the lead singer Mike Ryan and the drummer Ray Fean were regulars at Rathbane during the Hamilton era.
