I think probably improving your stadium and putting money into your youth players(you can promote one every week) is the best option. You have to start your training aswell, if you keep your training to your formation then your players tsi's will improve.
I hope this is good advise as its still my first season. I dragged my team up from bottom (5 straight defeats, 5-0 cause there was no manager) to 4th last in the league. Next year i'll get to give promotion a proper go hopefully and get my first decent cup run.
Oh ye if you go abroad to play friendlys it costs you money. I'm noot sure if it depends on where you go or how big your oppositions home crowd is. I went to Argentina and it cost me about 7,000

My team is CCFC1984. When I get knocked out of the cup I already have a friendly booked!(against DE TOWN)
i got knocked out beaten 3-4 in et give me a shout when youve got a friendly spare
I beat a team 4-1 in the cup that I expected to lose against. My next cup opponents are far superior though and will beat me!
Anybody up for a foot.ie cup? I can set it up but I want numbers first as when I set up an EL Cup last season it took ages to get the teams to join!
Last years final was postponed & not been re-arranged yet. Can't remember who i was supposed to play.
Best to wait a few weeks before starting as people with better teams could be in hattrick cups for a few more weeks...

Ye, great idea about the Foot.ie cup. I should be out of the Irish Cup in Hattrick next round, unless i pull off a miracle. I won my 1st round game 7-1 and 2nd round 7-0 but i was against teams that dont have managers. Its a bit of a crazy game though cause my Centre Half scored 5 in the latter game.

Foot.ie Cup has been created. At the moment there is only 4 teams accepted but if more people want to take part I will rise it(to 8). The start date is sometime next month but once we get all the teams involved I can change it to the next nearest date! You need to register with cupmanager.org before joining the cup aswell!

Yeah 8 would be perfect. 2 groups of 4 and the top 2 in each group qualify for the knockout stages.
