Personally i love Luch-Energiya Vladivostok. Ive never gone to see them play, have no connection with them but Jesus i cant be irish and proud.

I heard their matchs with Metallurg-Kuzbass Novokuznetsk are something else. In 1994 my uncles dads brothers son in law was over there. Ever since then ive loved Vladivostok.

Just in case they go bad ive a back up team Lisma-Mordovia Saransk. Im kind of leaning towards them ever since the great Ilya Borodin signed for them. Well hes supposed to be great ive never actaully gone to see him play. Whenever Aeroflot get their prices down ill be over there in a shot .... err maybe.
That still doesn't justify the rubbish you said about ma reasons for supporting Rambs.............

Davros i would say of anyone here that ive travelled the most and seen football matchs in more nations than anyone here.

From the "O'Higgins club in Santiago in Chile to the Finnish national stadium ive been there, seen it and done it. I was chased out of Nuremburgs stadium this summer by a german security guard for gods sake.

The only way Irish football is to succeed is by belief in ourselves and what we can achieve. If a nation like slovenia or norway can get teams into the champions league then we should be able to as well. Instead we get this we "must worship" celtic crap constantly. Why? They are a foreign team to me. Im not British full stop. Im not estonian so i dont support Jk Viljandi Tulevik, its as simply as that.

The unreal levels of hype whipped up by sky sports has just gone bonkers. Recently i saw a team in the FAI Intermediate Cup called West something Albion!!??!! They were obviuosly named after West Bromwich Albion. Two things struck me - why would you want to name yourself after a really really crappy club and do these morons know what Albion actually means?

I know all about the "Diaspora". My brother lives and is married in England. Thankfully no one has to leave Ireland anymore for economic reasons (hes over there for love -ahhh).

You yourself are over there - its obviously not for economic reasons. it could be for a whole host of other reasons - love, you like the area you are in, health. I dont know and i dont really care. However have you ever considered this - you keep going on about the OSC etc.
Now from my point of view if you truely believed this you would not be over in britain contributing to their economy when you could have a job over here.
If you had done that in France (left for germany and worked) during WW2 the French resistance would have shot you the minute you returned to French soil.

Liam - you have some seriously warped ideas about what Irish people are like. The thought that all Irish people would support Belfast celtic is silly. If there was a united league (hopefully) in the future and they were successfully i would hate them. Just as much as Belfast Celtic fans would grow to hate to Cork City. I dont particularly like Shamrock rovers despite them contributing over 60 players to the irish national team (yes over 60, count them Liam!)
Maybe its them you should worship. Thery produced one of Irelands greatest ever players - Frank O'Neill.

    Rant Over!

Not at all - but I stand by my comment of it being totally irrelevant

So you are super fan! why didn't you tell us this earlier eoinh and we could have worshipped you from day one.

I know you wouldn't be so stupid and pig ignorant to claim such an honour without actually knowing the other 2,500 members or so on this Internet forum. From what I've read its fairly obvious that a few on here are fairly well travelled, but hey I'll bow to your obvious better knowledge

Why are you banging the EL trumpet again? it has nothing to do with this thread - do you only have one record?

You do not have to 'worship' celtic, in fact dislike them all you want - but don't continue to tell me WHY I support them as if you know something I don't.

PS: Did the German security guard catch you? - it could explain alot

    Yes you did Liam.

"and once more all of Ireland supported them" - They drew their support mainly from Belfast, Liam. Most people nowadays wouldnt even know they existed (unfortunately).

The point is LOI fans do go to a lot of matchs. People like colm were in Holland, France and Sweden supporting their team.

This season I only got to see a third division german match involving TUOS Koblenz against Bayern (exotic, I know )

unfortunately that is what happens when any thread mentioning celtic gets hijacked by the repetitve celtic bashers.

Hopefully you won't bother next time.
