It's just that normally on eleven a side they only make comment on Irish players, and they mentioned him in the same breath as Richie Dunne, so I leapt to that conclusion...Originally Posted by Peadar

I think the reason that they mentioed him in the same breath as Dunne was becuase like Dunne he had an outstanding game at the back for City yesterday, both Niall Quinn and Gary Pallister said it was between the two of them for Man Of the Match.
To the best of my knowledge, he's English, see soccerbase here no disrespect to any of the other underage players, but playing regularly in the reserves at Man City, and out on loan at Cambridge you'd imagine he would have been called up to the U-21's or at least approached by now
