    Smile Shels Thrashed!!!

Well well well. Longford won 4-1, and as an added bonus Alan Moore was sent off. The goal difference is now down to only 2.
Shels have to play Waterford at Tolka next week. Who would have thought we'd ever be cheering for Waterford.

The Drogheda games are now even more crucial.

    We can still do it...........

    Delighted!

Hopefully a win on Monday and a big crowd and who knows what the future may hold.

When you think about it now, last night was a point gained. Its a pity we didnt get the 3 points though.

Goal difference could become very important indeed.

    It just got very interesting.....

It is in our own hands .... if we dont take it then we dont deserve it.

Just worries about the team being tired and us not making many changes !!
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Its not in your own hands but ???

Anyway you need to make up 6 points over 3 games against Bohs and Drogheda twice!..

I would be confident that a draw over the next 2 shels games will see us win the league but I think we will get at least two draws or a win...

It would be funny to see a goal difference shoot out on the last day!!

    2 Cork City....33 16 10 7 45 28 58 17

If they lose another game and we win our last three we should have a GD advantage.

True but 3 wins for you will at least give you a goal difference of +3
at best Ill say +5 putting you on 22..
shels lose to waterford by 1 and are on 18!!

We will then knock St Pats for at least 5 and head back to tolka for a pint or two

Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the teletext last night, fair dues to longford town for giving us a lifeline and helping out the with the goal difference too(good aul Digger).

Monday night is the HUGE one for us now,we really need to improve from friday night and if we can win by two goals we will be praying for Waterford and Pats to beat shels and only have to win our last two games and it's ours.

be very aware of the fact that playing a team back to back can be dangerous... we were well up for Shels and it will be similar for the Drogs. Remember they need the wins as much as you do and a second place finish for them is what the really need if their ambitions are to be realised. both sides aren't going to get what they want and I would say that Shels are going to get that point they need. Cork need to consolidate the position too. Can't see dolan pushing Drogs too hard in search of a win because if it blows up in your faces you could risk second place.... and your season would be for damn all.

We have to go for for the win, there's fcukin no question about it,if Dolan sets out to get a draw against Drogs he should be ****ed out the door.Second place would be a great achievement for us after our shocking form after the intertoto run but the title is within touching distance now.

3 wins for City and shels lose once and it's ours.

if you offered me 4 points from the 2 drogs games, i'd take it in a heartbeat. leagues an outside bet at best, competition for 2nd place is very much alive. if drogs beat us twice, and when bohs beat dublin city, there could be three teams within a point of each other on the final day. priority has to be trying to wrap up second place in my opinion.

This second place priority stuff is bullsh!t imo,we need to go all out to win our last three games and if that means slipping to third or fourth so be it,we'll have given everything to win the league which we still have a chance to do.

2-0 tomorrow night will be the start of it!

What better way to secure second than to win both Drogs games.

No matter what happens then we'd have secured second and have a shot at the title on the last day.
    Oh no not them again

Drogheda have played above themselves for most of the season, and thats why they have a shout at a european spot, but based on their games ove the last few weeks, I think its all over for them. Against Shels on TV, they actually had a chance to win the league, but lost 5-2, and 2 weeks ago against Bohs lost 3-0, both games at home.
I think a plan is just a list of things that don't happen - Mr Parker
