Encouraging set of results from a Dfc point of view and also pats providing we both beat Bray and Athlone.
Seriously though, I didn't see the Lenihan incident but I hope he is OK and makes a speedy recovery. Things like that are horrific.
Unpredictable results.

Long Live King Kenny
That's more an indictment on the players who clearly were not giving 100% under Horgan.
Same could be said about Rovers players who rebelled against Stephen Kenny and got their pal Trevor Croly in.
Reading reports from Tallaght that Zayed stormed out of ground when named as a sub tonight.
I phoned the speaking clock to hear a voice speak, it said - "At the tone you will be very much alone"

Cumann Peile Dún Dealgan - Champions 2015 (too many accolades to be typing)
Termonbarry Athletic TID!
Time for Nutsy to get off the couch in Montrose and make his way out the N81.
The reason i asked do you play is I guarantee you that you have done the same or something similar when someone is coming at you like that its a natural reaction. Similar thing to what happened Lenihan happened me a few years ago and I broke a bone in my neck so I do feel for him. I just think the bohs player was a bit soft nothing more.
`Hon the Harps!
Come of it. He see's Lenihan will get to the ball with his momentum, turns his back to try and shield the ball from him if it drops to his feet and then ducks when he feels Lenihan's make contact with his back to avoid a worse collision. It's a natural reaction in the moment and I've seen similar things in other games in the LOI. I suppose you can call it "cowardly" if you want, but there is no intention for an injury to happen there.

There is no doubt that there was a major issue with lack of effort and commitment by players and poor team morale under Horgan.
The difference between then and now is Darius Kierans and he deserves great credit for the transformation since Drogheda were hammered 6-0 by Athlone
To try lay the blame at Paddy Kavanaghs door is ridiculous...hope Lenihan has a speedy recovery...but it is just an unfortunate incident .Sullanefc saying about a tackle in the air being illegal.well you could hardly say Kavanaghs tackled him. Then you have Pat Hoban earlier in the season making a challenge for the ball in a 50/50 situation and people saying he went to "do" the Derry player.
so in conclusion according to Cork fans you are a coward if you don't contest these challenges, whereas if your a Derry fan someone who does contest them is a thug!!!
its a funny old game
Only another 9 titles till Drogheda become pride of county louth!!!
We agree here.
Shielding the ball is what happens when the ball is running out for a goal kick and the defender puts himself in the way of the ball. When the opposing player is moving with momentum, I would call this a body check. And when one player is in the air, a body check can lead to this type of fall. Seen many of them over the years.
The ball was going way over his head. Not sure if serious etc etc.
H started ducking before contact.
I clearly said in my post above, that I don't think he intended to injure him. He was attempting a body check IMO. And with Lenihen in the air, a body check was wreckless, dangerous and cowardly IMO.
I've seen countless examples in football of a ball in the air, one player is favourite to win it, and the opposing player does not challenge. Would have prevented an injury here if the Bohs player just left it off.

Great win for the Drogs. Give Darius the job! (Although - are there still issues with his 'pro-license' or something?)
