Can remember a club having velcro (spelling??) numbers on their shirts so players could change them around. Their names stayed the way they were ... just changing the numbers if need be. Seemed like a good idea to me.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
A joke (and a bad one too apparently)
That is the problem with Squad numbers. Players leave in mid season and the jersey is the not usable again except with tape as outlined.
Bring back the good old fashioned 1-16...
