The final is on at 6:15 or 6:30 I think on sat too. That should favour Olympic or hibs as they have played at that time already.
Huh ? What would the pitch have to do with the A team getting to play all there games at 7.30 ?
Nothing is impossible

What do you think![]()
ha ha ha
That's assuming either Hibs or Olympic are in the final, something will happen, both teams will be disqualified and it will be a town a versus b final...
I take it you don't think the later kick-off time is an advantage in having your players ready and available ? Some lads don't finish work until 5.30/6.00... Expected to be ready for a game at 6.15!
Nothing is impossible
ps: what about your pitch comment, what on earth (see what I did there), does that mean ?
Nothing is impossible
Ah I was only taking the €!ss - have no idea why the fixtures are that way
Maybe town committee is hoping by A team playing later it will attract more town supporters out to shout them on..
Thanks F-U for your kinds words but hopefully i can last a bit longer than 20/30 mins. Like everyone else in the squad i train just as hard as everyone else. As for the so called younger lads it's up to them to get themselves into the side by putting IN the hard work & effort both on & off the pitch. They shouldn't start just because they are young. They should deserved to start because they are playing well & the same goes for everyone else in the squad. That's how it works & how it should work IMO. As for Tino i don't know the lad or what he has discussed with BD so i can't comment on that. As for Brian he has told me he is not going to Galway. Being his uncle I've had some chats with him i personally think he should't go to Galway something i have told him already. Now as for the starting times for the games. It's a Shannon Town tournament & if i was the manager i'd make sure games were played at times that suited my team. I'm sure if the tournament was ran by Rineanna,Hibs or Olympic they would do the same. Also none of the other clubs have contacted the club to have games changed.
I was only joking about teams being disqualified and in all honesty I'm just having a slight dig at Town for having all their matches at 7.30
To be fair Shannon Town go to a lot of effort to run the competition, so why not have your games on when you want..... I do know that if I was an opposition Manager that I would be questioning it tho and looking for fairness all round...
Gerry, you make perfectly valid points which I fully accept. I do hope I didn't sound too harsh (it wasn't meant to be harsh), I was just surprised to see you still leading the line after all these years... In fairness you're still getting around the pitch fairly well and I shouldnt really be making snap judgements on watching just one game.
You did also score 2 goals, so as a striker, once you are doing that, you're doing your job....
Tino and Monaghan, I was told they are both going to Galway - so I stand corrected on that. I do think that if either signs for a team in Shannon then it's a backwards step for them -no disrespect to the teams in shannon, it's just the players will not progress to bigger and better things - I hope I am wrong about this if they do sign with a Shannon Team...
Last question lads - how narrow is the town pitch ? Is there a reason that it's so narrow ?
Nothing is impossible
Surely towns pitch is so narrow as gerry kelly is up front on his own.. at his age and all..
I agree with gerry if he is training as hard as anyone else he deserves to start regardless of age.. not many lads have played as high a level as him..
I think if you have to argue the point you have already lost........

Sorry ONO i'm not discouraging Brian from playing LOI at all but when you know the full facts it's very easy for me to say to Brian don't go to Galway. He's still only 18 with plenty of time ahead of him to play LOI.
F-U I'm not that old honestAll that i can say is i don't think it's a step backwards if they sign for a Shannon team. Sideways yes. They are still both very young & need to but in a lot of hard work, effort & desire if they want to achieve playing LOI. Many a player has played Junior Soccer for a few years & moved up then. I know Brian & know what he wants , but he's not there yet & that's just my opinion. I will help him in anyway i can but he has to put in the work.
As for the pitch it was done for a reason but will be put back in time to 110 x 70. Currently 100 x 60
Ha ha ... I don't know about that Gerry !!!
Sideways move ? we'll have to disagree on that, if they signed premier in Limerick, then that would be sideways, or maybe a step forward, not so sure about them playing for a Shannon team, they need to be in a better shop window to have a chance to go places (imo).... But that's what's good about the game, full of opinions !!
Was just wondering about the pitch really, looks queer small at the moment![]()
Nothing is impossible
Junior football in Shannon is not on par with LOI19s. It's at least 2 steps backwards if your being honest with yourself. Long way down to 1A from Fahys Field.
Only thing he'll get at Shannon Town is a bad attitude and bad habits.

Okay ONO & F-U i'm going to stop talking about Brain now cause NO.1 i broke my own rule by discussing players on this Forum & NO.2 i haven't a clue who i am having this discussing with. I do how ever take both your points. All about opinions i suppose. Yes F-U pitch is a bit small but it suits me just fine![]()
