It actually makes no sense not to even try and go and get the win they needed to throw 9 months down the drain is mind boggling!

They will be sick this evening when they saw innish lost!
    It really questions there character!

No 4 players from tower played for coachford A last year . 3 went to tower this year and 1 stayed out in coachford.
Taggy terry n doyler went to tower and remain there.
Giving a walkover is gutless to be fair. I get over it if it was a team at the bottom but still in with a chance of promotion is just mad really

Thanks for clearing that up. I had no idea i was wrong about the location of these players. walk overs are not a nice thing. and its always going to happen at the end of a season. Something need to be done about that .i don't know what but something none the less.

Have to agree with you here, I went to watch the game myself and some of the decisions made were very bad. I'm not sure if he was intimidated by the supporters or what but in my view he denied Crescent a clear penalty. The sending offs for both teams were harsh but having had the same referee in charge of a game we played in this year once he sent someone from Crescent off I knew it was only a matter of time before someone from Glen Celtic was going for an early bath.

At the moment there are a few refs in the AUL that are making the game all about themselves, i don't know are they encouraged by the AUL to hand out the cards to make money from the fines I can't say that is the case but there has been some difference in yellow & red cards in the game to what there was 5 years ago. There are some very good lads reffing at the moment so we can't tar them all with the same brush, these are the kind of refs that are approachable, that will explain why they are booking you instead of just pulling out a card on a first offence. These are the fella's that are willing to let games flow rather than stopping every few seconds to give a pointless free kick.

Getting back to the Crescent/Glen game, it was a good game from my point of view. The Glen have a very good striker who on his day could rip any team apart. He's a premier player who i believe is committed to playing ball with his friends in a lower league. Have to respect that really. It will be a good final between Glen Celtic and Fairview and giving that it's a Northside derby that will add a little extra bite to it.

Congrats on the league win, for a league that was being pegged as a two horse race for most of the season ye came out of nowhere and took it. Very good result against a team that hadn't been beaten all season. From what i heard of the game they didn't have a sniff. Ye can thank Fairview for running them into the ground and mentally draining them after last Saturday afternoon in the Fairfield.

Best of luck playing Premier next year.

Was at the fairview v rylane game myself, few heart stopping moments alright in last 10 minutes

Rylane had no shot at goal or not even a corner kick, everything just went right for us on the day

Just a query - by my calculations before last weekend coachford & tower had 1 game left against each other - by reports on here Coachford gave walkover - not by AUL tables tower finished with 21 games (and 3 points) but coachford still with a game left to play???

The walkover would only have been discussed at last nights AUL meeting. The walkover isn't clarified until the Wednesday so I'd say give it a few days and it'll be finalised. Those tables are from Monday.

That's what I was thinking but still doesn't explain why Tower have 21 games played...

Next weeks fixtures released last night only show ye and not coachford as being in the playoffs. Good luck in the playoff. Ridiculous idea to be honest.
