Not sure, but the Cambridge coach later revealed he calls him "G" as he's not sure how to pronounce his name.

Pronouncing it phonetically like 'G-ear-oid' makes him sound like an extra hardcore illegal substance used by bodybuilders.

It's not that hard to pronounce when you actually are informed how- 'Ga-road' shouldn't be a stretch for the Cambridge boss.

I think the BT commentator got it right. I certainly didn't notice anything unusual anyway. Morrissey had a half chance too but he scuffed his shot pretty badly.

Bear in mind he's only heard it pronounced in a Cork accent and I'm sure you can sympathise.
