I like your optimism but i cannot see anything other than a defeat.
So, we've had a bit of a break between the horror of Athlone and this game on Sunday. Things can only get better after what happened in our last game and it has given Martin Russell a bit of time to put across his ideas as well. Still no new signings which is kind of worrying as I'd like to see us strengthen.
As long as we can get our back 5 (Ryan, Kelly, Oji, Folan and Williams) together again, we can start building again.
I'm hoping we catch Sligo a bit off guard and they may be a bit tired after their Eurpoean game.
I'm going to go for an optimistic Sligo 1 - 1 Limerick draw.
Predictions? Thoughts?
I like your optimism but i cannot see anything other than a defeat.
Wins for Bohs and Drogheda tonight piles a bit more pressure on us to pick up something on Sunday.
We shouldn't be expecting to and we wont get anything off Sligo id say.
I'm just looking forward to seeing what way we set up and any changes that Russell might make. I'd be happy with a good performance and a few signs of things getting better.
I think we should go with some optimism, they could have a bit of a hangover after going out of Europe.
any speculation on who the "fans favourite" is who is leaving? I'll guess Oji or Nzuzi.
Its neither, i heard Kelly.
"We've had a lot of good times, but you don't know how good they are until you have the bad ones" Tony Adams
I heard Robbie Williams. Anyone know for sure who it is?
Actually a bit gutted if its Kelly.
Hes here a long time now, must have played well over a hundred games for Limerick??
Always spoke highly of the club and seemed well settled, hes one of those fellas i thought would still be knockin around the place at 35!
His decision or managements is the question??
Cos if twas Russells first call as Limerick boss tis a quare one...
Possibly to do with the fact he just had a baby and maybe wants to love closer to Donegal? Seems a logical enough reason to be honest. If it's a club letting him go decision then it's madness.
It seems like its all outgoings and nothing coming in.As a poster said above 2 huge results for drogs and bohs which were'nt expected in fairness.they need to knuckle down and start picking up the odd point away and need to win a couple of home games.wont be easy.might need horrible football from here on in but if it keeps prem football so be it.

it was a mutual decision as he wants to move home. Wish him all the best. Great servant to the club and a lovely guy.

So who's going to be next out the door , massive loss Sean Kelly good servant always gave 100% . are we preparing for life in division one or what??? Another game another defeat it's a thankless job for Russell what way did they sell the job to him " we might lose 1 or 2 more players and bring in nobody but I'm sure you can keep us in the prem ". The season has just got so fustrating it's unreal will there be anybody there Friday night at this stage.
As poor a performance as anything else we have seen this season negative from the start only ever got into the game for 4-5 mins after going 1 down. It was by pure look that it wasn't 4 or 5.
Replace Craig Curran and Danny Galbraith in attack with a reserve Cork right back ( Turner) and the under 19s left back ( Murphy) those were our wingers tonight. Oji dropped the only reason can be that Leahy knows the manager from UCD where he played in a shambles of a defence.
We have 3 days to sign players and we need 4 at least we are far from safe.
Since the arse of last season. Out: stuart taylor, malky Thompson, keepers walsh and nathen? Kelly, judge, purcell, o'callaghan, gamble, foley, o'leary, Bradley, axel, mcgann, curran and galbraith
Ins: russell, Duggan, leahy, turner (loan)
Barry ryan plays in a friendly but not in an important league match??? Oji dropped was a clanger....sligo put out a weakened side too

Can't say I'm looking forward to the rovers game on Friday. It's not even that I think we will be beaten it's just as it stands there is absolutely zero to get excited about at the moment. Poor performances, players leaving, relying even more on under 19's. Nothing at all to entice people to cough up a minimum €12 this Friday.
