    Cork (a) 27/6/14

What do we think? We've had a decent run but have to imagine Cork will be a bit too good for Limerick.

I'd take a draw, the 0-0 with the unbeaten run preserved into another series.

They weren't great at all when we played them a few weeks ago but they have still got very good results recently. Might be a bit much to be expecting 4 wins on the trot but you never know. The break probably not actually didn't do us any favours as it killed the bit of a roll we were on. Should be a good few people heading down to this as well.

    Will say 1-1.

The promotion is 'Bring a kid'. I'd assume it's €1 per kid and 1 kid per adult.

They must be accompanied by an adult, maximum 5 kids per adult.

Awful stuff , cork were much better than there display at thomond and showed there title contenders but we were so poor especially 1st half should have been 3/4 down at ht . The team seemed to lack direction and desire even the usually reliable players were poor and in the 1st half could hardly even pass the ball. Mc manus was woeful again his lack of effort is so obvious I'm shocked he even made it to ht , prince was one of the players that was working hard then he took that ridiculous free kick half hearted and Taylor hauled him off after it . Cork had some good performers on the night billy dennehy for me was head and shoulders above anyone else on the field quality player. The only positive aspect of the night was Robbie Williams coming back and he was unlucky with the free kick . Attendance 2700 poor by corks standards this season. Don't see much point sacking Taylor at this stage of the season the teams above us are far superior teams with much better squads.

Prince was hauled off because Prince is always hauled off, its Stuarts default setting.

Disgraceful performance. Twice this season we ve been hockeyed by Cork in Turners Cross and tonigjt wasnt the League Cup (not that a club like us should be turning our noses up at the League Cup.)

It was one thing Noel O'Connor or Mike Kerley bringing two grand teams down there to be well beaten in cup ties but that tonight was completely unacceptable.

Hard to see where Taylor is going at the moment besides backwards. The lack of anything from some of our players was scary.

    Bumper crowd for Bohs.next week...

Terrible performance from us alright. Totally outmuscled in the middle of the park. Once we managed to get any ball around their box we basically butchered every chance.

The game basically went, limerick player with the ball in mid field, cork player pressures our midfielder, ball ends up going backwards and we hoof it up the field for Murray and Dennehy at the back to clean up quiet comfortably.

Need a few new faces in there to shake it up. Possibly a few getting two comfortable with their starting positions. Some bit of a fight for starting places will do no harm.

Very disappointing to hear all this. With exception of Pats game, seems like Limerick aren't capable of playing with the top 5 or so. Playing right we can be the best of the rest, but only temporarily.

Where are the transfer window signings? Anybody on the horizon to make a difference?

Window isn't open till Tuesday. In saying that Mike Aherne said this morning that the striker we were due to sign from Shamrock Rovers is now signing with cork.

You sure he said from Rovers? He said on twitter it was Graham Cummins that we lost out on to Cork.

There is talk of us being interested in Zayed which for me would be an awful signing.

Id agree on that. Seems like the club are banking on someone really high profile in a bid to get the fans back. Zayed won't do that and he'll command a high wage too. I've seen this happen for years. The only thing that's going to bring them back up is a new season, new manager (possibly) or a new squad in the off season.

I don't think any of the casual crowd care too much who's in the manager's seat, unless it was someone really high profile - like an ex-international or something. They do care about good football and wins.

Maybe cause it was second hand I heard it.

I thought possibly Zayed but he started last night and if there was an inkling he was leaving I'd say rovers would have left him out.

I do think Taylor talks a lot, even if its just through the club website. I'm not really sure its a bad thing though, except when the appeals for supporters come before dire performances, like with the Sligo game.
