    League of Ireland seasons without winning the the title, thats some interesting reading, did you collect the stats yourself for that?

    Not to be ultra critical, some of those clubs that you have combined were separate clubs.

    Thats OK then

    Its just a little niggle I have that the current clubs like Cork City, Limerick, Derry City, Drogheda United and Waterford United still claim to be the same club when clearly its not the case. Only Drogheda United can have some claim as they were created as a merger.

    Surprised that Bohs are so high up since they spent much of their existence as an amateur club and won nothing for decades in the early days.
    Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

    I guess smaller league size back then would be on their side? So even if bottom it doesn't damage the average quite so much.

    Most clubs have spent most of their time as amatuers. Even from the 60s on there wasn't too much difference between semi pros and amateurs.
