I thought Osadebe would get in considering his playing regularly with Gillingham in L1.

Maguire scores some amount of penalties!
Lads does anyone know why Reece Grego Cox was called but was not in the squad last night? He is playing today for Newport
I really can't comment on O'Connell's size / physique any more!
Slovenia didn't touch the ball once in that video. JD himself must have been the highlights editor. Some poor finishing from our lads. I loved how the Slovenian conceded the penalty and then just walked off the pitch, no protest, nothing.

Shodipo fairly cheeky not giving the ball to Maguire after he won the penalty it looked there! He looks like a player who can just glide past fellas does Shodipo.
He definitely looked like the most potent attacking weapon in that clip. Very good performance from the U-21s there - just a pity they lost to Lithuania earlier in the group - a victory there, coupled with bigger wins against Andorra and they'd have had a real shot at a play-off position now. Still, two victories against Serbia in the next month or so will give them half a chance. Looking forward I know there's sometimes a bit of doom and gloom in the media about a lack of young talent coming through to the senior squad, but looking at the squad listed above, I could identify eight players who you could be realistic possibilities for Senior Team call-ups within this season or just after it based on their career experience so far or potential in the coming months: Hoban, Lenihan, Toner, O'Connell, Byrne, Browne, Cullen and Shodipo. You could possibly add Grego-Cox and Kavanagh to that list if they can get back into their respective clubs' first teams. Beyond that, Harry Charsley has been scoring regularly recently for Everton's U-23s, Emmanuel Osadebe has shown a lot of promise at Gillingham and, as somebody mentioned, Kieran Sadlier's recent form at Sligo has been very good. There's also Daniel Cleary, Noe Baba and Ronan Hale, who are progressing at Birmingham City, along with other promising youngsters in England and at League of Ireland clubs.
It amazes me that Glen Rea is getting in the team ahead of Kevin Toner.
