Just a reminder regarding Championship Manager 5

Anyone who cares probably knows but to remind you the true sequel to Championship Manager 4 will not be Championship Manager 5 but the new game to be realeased in a couple of weeks Football Manager 2005. While Eidos (the publisher) retain the rights to the name and look of CM the developers Sports Interactive or SI the guys who actually invented the engine the important bit are making FM 2005 published by Sega. Eidos have called in some guys to make a new game with the same look and name for CM5 whereas Sega have the guys who made CM and own the engine for FM2005. So basically anyone who wants the new CM buy FM 2005.

i know, and by the way, IM IN THE GAME. i won the "your face in the game" competition and now when someone from Cork retires (i presume, it might be from anywhere), it'll make a new player called "Gav Golden". Favourite CLub: Cork City. And my ugly mug will appear next to it

    Release Date for FM2005

From a source in the gaming world, I believe the release date is next Friday 5th of November
Will just have to wait and see if this is correct

I think that's the date Amazon are giving. I wonder if they have accurate date for eL clubs and the Setanta Cup.

Yeah the Setanta cup is in it, Mons, Athlone ect dont have massive squads. The seasons starts in 2005(it did in the beta)! The eL looks well much more updated but in the beta the no team got promoted but teams got relegated in the 2ed season but that should be fixed in the real game!

Cheer for the info Eamo. How can it start in 2005 though!? Is it a 12 team Premier? Who gets into Europe? Who's promoted and relegated?

The release has been brought forward a day to Thursday as stores in Italy and Sweden started selling it already.

    There goes my weekend/month/xmas/2005.....
Whatever it was I am sure it was better than my plan to get out of this by pretending to be mad. I mean, who would have noticed another madman around here?
