    weather report

    from met.ie

    Tonight
Continuing very windy this evening and tonight with widespread rain. The rain will be showery in nature across the north and west, but will be heavy and continuous over southern and eastern counties where localized flooding may occur. East to southeast gales with gusts of 60 to 75 mph are expected, with low cloud and extensive mist. Lowest temperatures will range 10 to 12 degrees.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tomorrow Thursday will be another very windy day with further spells of rain in all areas. The better dry spells are likely in the north and northwest during the morning. However the rain will be heavy in most other areas with sizable amounts across much of the south and east giving flooding. East to southeast winds will continue very strong, but will ease a little late in the day. Highest temperatures of 11 to 13 degrees.

    3 Day Outlook:
Still fairly windy on Thursday night and Friday with strong and gusty easterly winds. Showers can be expected also, some heavy and prolonged. The winds will decrease light to moderate northeasterly on Saturday and showers will become more scattered, with dry sunny periods expected. By Sunday, winds will fall light variable or calm and the weather will be dry with sunny spells. Nights will be cool over the weekend with ground frost developing.

not as bad as people expected

    the show must go on
