Great to see this. A sort of dress rehearsal for the Setanta cup?
Fair play to Roddy for inviting them, maybe another small step towards an All-Ireland league?
The latest news up here is that we are to play Linfield in two friendlies in the next month or so. Home and away.
I would be excited at the prospect of seeing a competitive match between the two sides to witness the differences in standard or even prove the superior nature of the Eircom league. What I seen when we played Cliftonville, Omagh Town and Limavady United was our Under 21s stuffing their full squads 3 and 4 - 0.
Being a resident of the North though im a realist and there is serious security implications for both games, ive no idea what way this will be handled.

Wouldn't agree. It's a non-competitive, mid-week fixture. If there were serious concerns, Linfield wouldn't have been invited to play us.Originally Posted by dortie

Police have said their happy with the security in the Brandywell and wont be present.Originally Posted by iceman
