still 1-0 start of second half

    from inthenet..

Derek Coughlan has put Cork in front after 19 minutes.
Russell Payne lost the flight of Ollie Cahill’s corner in from the left and big central defender Coughlan was left unmarked to head home at the back post for his fourth goal of the season.
Cork started brigtly with Cahill a menace to the Derry defence.
The flying Cork winger began and a super move on four minutes that almost brought a goal. Cahill played a one-two with Colin O’Brien down the left and Payne had to make a super save to parry away Cahill’s close range effort from O’Brien’s return.
Derry soon settled and Liam Coyle missed a sitter on 15 minutes. Tommy McCallion got away down the right to cross to find Coyle in the clear, but the striker sliced his shot wide from eight yards when he knows he should have scored.
A minute later Tommy McCallion got free inside the area to chip narrowly wide of Michael Devine’s right-hand post before Cork hit back with Coughlan’s lead goal three minutes later.
Beanpole striker Noel Hartigan almost added to City’s lead on 45 minutes but Payne made a good save to his volley on the turn.

Cork City: Devine; Carey, Coughlan, Napier, Horgan; Bennett, O’Grady, Buckley Cahill; Hartigan, O’Brien.
Derry City: Payne; E. McCallion, Kelly, McLaughlin, Hargan; Beckett, Doherty, McGlynn, T. McCallion; Coyle, Moran.
    Referee: Dick O’Hanlon.

hartigan who missed a sitter just before halftime has done the same thing just into the second half

Ollie CCC is playing a blinder..he clearly still thinks we can win the league

    Talking All over 1-0

We were well on top, they rarely threatened, We should have had 4 or 5.
Conor O'Grady was class, on a different level altogether.
