Dave Ryan is an awful, disgraceful excuse for a goalkeeper. He cost us the 3 points. Sooner we get Schlings back, the better.[/QUOTE]
You ain't seen nothing yet, wait till he gets a back pass it's hilarious!!
i was at game last nite in dalymount. away stand in des kelly stand was full. have no idea wot crowd was but serious amt of ppl there. was it 5000 by any chance? bad carryon from rovers fans when they got their peno and threw bottle on pitch before gary mccabe scored!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
Gavin Peers and Kieran Djilali sound awful, Peers a lot more so. Feel embarrassed listening to them
Hope Peers doesn't choke on those sour grapes.
The lads sounded a wee but disappointed.
Thank you Ocean FM! I thoroughly enjoyed the late winner!
I thought that goal would never come. Fair play to Sligo, they parked bus and never looked to attack. But Dundalk were running out of ideas.
Ryan was not great last night, but he did make one outsanding first half save, touching a close range shot on to the bar. Personally I don't think either 'keeper we have is up to it. Would love to have signed Darren Quigley the ex Bray 'keeper.
Nah, there was 4,000 maybe. As close to full as you'll get at Dalymount with the two stands closed. A lot of Rovers fans at the far end of the Jodi. There were a lot of the older lads I recognise from the bad homeless days in the Des Kelly hammered and trying to cause a bit of trouble. The bottle was thrown miles away from anyone but still out of order.
It was a better match than any of the recent Dublin derbies. Very cautious for 60 minutes or so but it opened up in parts. Madden is a huge signing, as is Byrne. Midfield still looks pretty ordinary but should improve once Finn is fully fit and McPhail is back. Robinson is much improved. Lopes and Beattie look great for Bohs.

What would ever be the possibility of Bohs opening up the bottom half of the closed stand under the TV gantry? Is it really in that bad of a condition? Would have been nice to have had the opportunity to open up another 1,000 seats for the game at the weekend.

Honestly, would absolutely love to see Dalymount fixed up a bit and the whole ground re-opened. Obviously, we'll never see it, but I'd love to see the glory days of Dalymount restored. One ambition of mine is to witness a match in a packed Dalymount Park. Seeing pictures and watching old videos will never be the same.

I'd love to see the FAI buy it, fix it up and rent it back to Bohs. They'll always get enough fans to make it financially viable for both sides and it's a hugely symbolic ground for Irish football, and it's one of the few old school grounds left right in the middle of an estate. I love going there and not just because it's Bohs.
Thought we were good value for a draw. When Gaynor was sent off thought it would end up 3 or 4 as Dundalks pace was killing us early on but we reorganised very well and Dundalk had very few chances and we looked comfortable enough until late on when David McMillan started creating chances. But it was a pure backs to the wall job. I'd say our lads will be shattered after it. At least we've a nice couple of handy games this week........
Horgan should have gone for his spear tackle. Although God only knows if Soccer Republic will show it.
Sligo were unlucky not to get the draw, and probably felt they deserved it for the defensive display for 80 minutes.
Daryl Horgan was very fortunate to only get a yellow. Most LOI refs would have flashed red. Although he was probably fouled immediately prior, his reaction was foolish in the extreme.
Delighted with the 3 points!
Not sure why I 'm biting on this but here goes......successive Bohs boards have succeeded in untangling a land law mess and Bohs now have title to the whole property.
The Tramway end hasnt been used for years beacause of access/egresss probs.not because some hitherto undiscovered Rovers fans might choose to populate it.
In any event it was actually good to see a group (150 or so) Rovers fans iaccomodated in the Jodi without incident.
4,000 would be my estimate of the crowd.
