Struggling to make it at the moment. Have an exam the next day. No doubt, our new member JoeSemi will make an appearance. Actually, on second thoughts, Tramco is over-20s. Not JoeSemi's target market at all.

i'll probably try and call in if i can. will everyone be wearing their colours, or will the prohibitive door policies demand some form of secret handshake type mechanism?

That won't deter me P.M. I'm only a recent signing to Tom O' Neill's club and Tom expects big things of his new recruit in the forthcoming weeks, after the initial settling in period. Tom reckons JoeSemi will be at full fitness when the party comes around!!!........ The Green Hen and I will form a formidable duo up front that night with Max and Dillo pullin the strings in midfield and Leon keenly contesting every ball at the back alongside Don

Is this a seven a side team?

Would much prefer to see you at right back, Don Vito at left back, Max pulling the strings in midfield, Dillo on the right flank, and $Leon$ in the hole behind the front two like Kakka of Milan. We might have to put your mate Anto in goals. That leaves us short a striker. Anyone you can think of that's been in good scoring form of late? And we aint talking about scoring against the Cats. This is football, not hurling.

The Trevster is always good for one, not necessarily stunners everytime but a score all the same. If only we had the Don Vito of the 2001/02 season back-he was a serious player in the CAmden St. area.

JoeSemi at full fitness?! We've all seen what he's capable of so far this season in Rafa's Red Army! Compare him to young Hibbert across Stanley Park- like chalk and cheese the two of 'em! Just like Heskey, it could take him half a decade to settle in! Word has it though that Dillo will have regained full fitness for the forthcoming night in Tramco- even at 50%, he can be a right handful!
As for the Tramco team Joe, your players are totally out of position! You're the lad who wants to follow in Mourinho's footsteps?!
Up front, I'd have the PM alongside Don Vito. The PM is a proven natural goalscorer. As he regularly says on nights out, "I have to finish this wan off!!"
Myself and Max would form a formidable midfield pairing, Max of course been the holding midfielder.
Yourself JoeSemi and $Leon$ would form the two centre backs and put the fear of God in opposing attackers, providing a resolute defence!
The Green Hen on the other hand, although a proven talent tends to drift in and out of games, resembling a certain Harry Kewell and his place in the starting line-up would be up for grabs!! He has an attitude problem and rarely tends to show loyalty to any one club for too long!!

    Foot.ie! P.M produces a masterclass

I'd have to agree with ye Dillo about the P.M leading the line for us. Saw him in action y'day and the man definitely has a predatory instinct in front of goal. He took 2 or 3 goals with great aplomb when all around him were losing their composure. If the P.M can transfer this form to our proposed team I can't see many people stopping us.

Thanks lads. Appreciate all the praise. After just over two years of persistent injuries, I finally returned to first team duty in late July. It took me some time to hit full match fitness, but when I did I felt I was doing very well. Ive scored 9 times since my return to first team action. This included a cracker away in Paris, my first European goal. At the time, Don Vito commented that I was at my peak. However, I feel that I have a lot more to give. Unfortunately, I am out of action again until January. However, I am confident of making a swift return to first-team action when January comes. While I never get spectacular goals, I feel that the quality of my finishing has improved substantially this season. Im confident that I can hit the 20-goal mark by end of season in mid-May. With you lads providing the amunition, anything is possible.

On a seperate note, there would seem to be some disagreement regarding $Leon$'s positioning in the team. Is he gona play in the Kakka role in the hole behind the main striker or the George Costa role in the centre of defence??

Leon is a more rounded footballer than Jorge Costa, with a lot more to his game. Leon's versatility can be used to benefit the team in a number of ways. He is undoubtedly a player that commands respect and could be deployed better as our own Fernando Couto- Dependable, good communicator and not afraid to stick the boot in. On the other hand we would be leaving ourselves short in creative talent in the attacking third, and like any world-class player Leon can thread a pass through the eye of a needle. Similar to Kaka, and not too dissimilar to Jorge Cadete, Leon could bring that continental flair to a team that can, sometimes, flatter to deceive.

Max is somewhat of an unknown quantity at present, and until our scouting report comes back Max might have to be content with a place on the bench. The line-up as it stands:

    ?

    JoeSemi Dillo

    Green Hen Leon

thanks for the kind words joesemi.
stickin me in mid field could be dangerous.
back in the day i was more used to playin a gary doc role either upfront or in defence. equally skillfull in either position. well that was in the yard at school where ther were no lines men to rule me off side which most of my goals were in fairness. used the brute force and ignorance style rather than any honned at any contenintal super clubs. box hatcher goal snatcher was a more accurate description.
glad to hear u have such confidence in me playin mid field prob.
prob try and play the roy keane style hard man role.
just don't be expectin a creative winger

Got to agree with you there Don! The way this party is shaping up, there'll be nobody at it only The PM, $Leon$ and JoeSemi!

Having said that however, I must say I like the look of that backline JoeSemi! Solid as a rock! The PM after his long sustained injuries has been a revelation this season and his place up front in the starting line up is fully merited. He has put in numerous 'Man of the Match' displays this season and could well prove the difference on the night. Midfield, I feel could prove problematic. There's no doubting the quality that both The Green Hen and $Leon$ possess but as they are two conflicting personalties I believe this could adversely affect the teams performance. Fingers crossed!
