Derry's Ruairi Higgins has a 35-yard shot saved by Cork goalkeeper Michael Devine in the seventh minute. At the other end, Derry keeper David Ford saves a George O'Callaghan free-kick in the 12th minute. Damien Brennan hits the Cork woodwork in the 35th minute with a fierce drive from almost 40 yards. But Cork take the lead a minute later with Kevin Doyle finishing off a swift counter-attack after Derry's Killian Brennan loses the ball in midfield.

yeah. RTE only report important events if it involves Dublin sides. Sundays coverage of the FAI Carlsberg Cup final was a classic example. Never showed replays of the 2 Longford goals during the game. Later in the news, they showed the goals in the wrong order, i.e. showing the "winner" when they actually showed the first Longford goal.

How many City supporters are there? If we hold onto this lead, the crowd on Friday should be really special.

Wonder how the ref is behaving. I read that he awarded a few spotters against City in the past.

    Thanks James.
    God bless those 20 fans.
It must mean a lot to the players to hear that support so far from home.
