Derby will probably come good if they give Nigel Pearson time but according to Gene Wilder "time is a precious thing" and he wasn't even a football club Chairman.
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.
Richard Keogh's defending claims another victim.
Naturally! Although a goal a game isn't a bad concession rate for a team in the relegation zone. Their blunt attack, the worst in the entire football league and at least five goals worse than any other side in the Championship, seems to be a much bigger issue. With hindsight, thank God Hendrick jumped ship at least.
The lightness of being without Pearson.
Must have been unbearable
Unusual start to the season for Derby. Over the last few seasons they've had one of the highest scoring attacks in the league with goals conceded usually letting them down compared to other teams competing around the top 6.
The wisdom of selling Chris Martin would have to be questioned.
They could do with someone like Bamford, who had a past spell with them, as well. If he can't get a run in the team at Burnley with Andre Gray suspended, you would have to question when/if he will.

A good day for the Irish Rams yesterday with Christie & Pearce scoring in their 2-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday. It was Christie's second goal for Derby and Pearce's first. Keogh made a goal line clearance but I think there was a suspicion of handball about it. Westwood was still absent for Wednesday.
Don't think I'd ever heard Pearce interviewed before. Seems a sophisticated kind of chap.
Very interesting to hear that - definitely a cut above the game of two 'alves / sick as a parrot / boy done well schtick. Looked and sounded more a first rate coach or manager in the making...
Hello, hello? What's going on? What's all this shouting, we'll have no trouble here!

Yes there was ever so slightly a suspicion of handball. Tough call for the ref because he would have had to send Keogh off as well. Not a huge protest from the Wednesday players. Players who don't score very often must rub their hands whenever Wednesday are coming to town. First for Pearce and 2nd for Christie.

It happened very fast but looks clear enough alright after a couple of views, a huge moment in the game really.
Wednesday haven't beaten Derby in 17 attempts, mad stat I thought!
Yep, some teams are bogey teams. Prior to beating Wolves at home last December, Wednesday had gone 15 or 16 HOME games without beating them. Bizarre. At least as regards Derby, they probably have been the stronger club during the period of the 17 attempts but still a mad stat. And they talk about the Mayo curse !
It is always a small consolation when they lose to an Irish scorer (or two in this instance).

Keogh and Pearce have started in Derby's FA Cup match against neighbours Leicester (Live on BBC One now). They went one down after a few minutes to an absolutely comical own goal, thankfully none of our two directly involved as Baird knocked it towards his own goal and Darren Bent compounded the mess by carelessly slicing into into his own net. He has since redeemed himself by equalising with a lovely glancing header.
Ended 2-2. A good defensive effort by Derby to hold on to their 2-1 lead was undone when Morgan beat Keogh in the air to level with a few minutes remaining.
I saw some of that on TV, missed a lot of it as I did not know it was on, it was a real good game from what I saw.
Just discovered you can watch it all on the BBC site if you want and have the time and can access it from your location.
It was a good match a local derby with a good atmosphere I might watch the bits I missed later.

That's good.
Derby's FA Cup replay away to Leicester is on BBC One at the minute: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/38622424
Keogh and Christie both started and the score remains 0-0 with half-time approaching.
Keogh was lucky not to have had a penalty awarded against him a few minutes ago for what was a pretty clear shove on the Leicester attacker.
