On 25 minutes, Shane Nolan had a run and shot from about 20 yards out which was on target, but it was comfortably saved by the Bray keeper. Bray then finished the half with two good moves, but the first effort was pushed away by O'Donnell and the second Bray effort was put over when well-placed. 1-0 to Bray at half-time. Bray made a number of substitutions in the second period and it seemed to help Wexford get into the game a bit more. After four minutes, the impressive Adam Hanlon made progress down the left but his low cross was just missed by the stretching Bray attacker. With a half-hour to go, Jason McHugh, Kilian Cantwell and Danny Furlong came on as subs for the Youths. Bray tried a training ground move from a free after 62 minutes but it was volleyed over. Danny Fitz then seemed to have a reasonable shout for a peno when taken down from behind but the ref waved it away with twenty to go. Jordan Brett and Andy Wall then came on as further Wexford subs and, in the dying minutes, Sean Skelly pulled out a good save from the Bray keeper when he took on his full back and unleashed a powerful effort to leave the score at 1-0 to the home side at full-time.
