Good crowd in on a very breezy evening. Desperately unlucky to concede having held on so long.
Ciaran Coll got out of hospital and travelled back on the team bus. Got a knee into the ribs when the player landed on him and knocked unconscious. They initially thought he swallowed his tongue. Heading for an x-ray tomorrow but should be safe enough. Very lucky chap.
Had to wonder about the section of Galway support who jeered and booed when the stretcher was being urgently called over though.

Our attendances are plummeting but the 700+ that bothered going last night actually got to see a marked improvement and an entertaining enough game in fairness.
If cork were to actually bring 300-400 on Tuesday there is a good chance they will outnumber us.
2084 in a wet and rainy Showgies.
Was there really only 110 at the Longford game lastnight?
I know Cobh had no away support so 110 is just about right..
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
'Official' attendance was given as 306 at CCS. I was talking to someone in the club & they told me that. Really stretching it there. Friend of mine counted 180 so don't know where 126 were hiding.

Thats some very bad attendances for longford. And these are coming from a club that the fans said last november should be in the premier because of their support, with one decent away crowd and a very good home crowd for the play offs. Now I know we dont be getting decent crowds but its funny how fans can think after one game. Its whats on the pitch thats counts lads.
Second from bottom of the First Division going into the match, seems about right.

If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.
Things are getting ridiculous if anyone at the club is seriously claiming an attendance of 300 plus. One of the lads counted 76 in the stand as the game kicked off and as always a lot came in after that but no way was there anything close to that there.

725 sounds official enough, so happy to go with it for here, but for the record, here's the goal showing a stand that I don't think is half-full!
So dunno what the story with the official figure is. Though it's not as if I'm the only person on here saying our official attendances look wrong.
823 at Athlone and Sligo
Athlone Town AFC 1887-2017
2383 at Dundalk and 836 at Limerick v Cork according to journalists at games twitter accounts. Thats not too bad for Athlone, hope they can get a few wins soon.
Glad the UCD v Pats attendance confusion is cleared up by that video, no way 1500 there and official figure looks accurate.
