I'd imagine another reason for compressed season is a lot of players are on contracts for a season, rather than a year, so shorter season means smaller wage bill?

And tbf the product even in the WLOI is pretty good, so you'd imagine 3-2 defeat against the team ranked no.2 in the world would also be good.
Also, off-topic, I get to a few Cork Womens games and Denise O'Sullivan was a joy to watch before she went abroad. How did she play?

1070 official for Galway v Shels, I expected more myself, but it is not going to be easy to keep the interest of the casual fan and increase the hardcore fan base from the 500ish mark it was before. Fair play to Cork, that is 3 gates above 4k so far, any figures in from the luas derby yet?
She did well as Ireland were outplayed a bit in the central midfield area from early in the 2nd half, so supply wasn't the best. This was due to stronger physicality of the Germans and the wind I would say. They were very unlucky, and deserved a draw as all 3 goals they let in were in a sense avoidable and the keeper who looked so solid and got so close to saving the penalty was probably a bit disappointed with the last two. The 3 Galway girls did well also in case anyone was asking. But luck is very important, even when playing well.
Would say around 450 in Finn Park tonight which is very disappointing altogether. Didn't get a chance to get an official figure before I left.

Some crowd in Inchicore. That's nearly capacity is it?
Anyone have an attendance for our game in Derry last night? Seemed to be around 1000?
Athlone Town AFC 1887-2017
The star gave 1,100 in Derry.

150 at Cobh/Waterford perhaps, less than 100 at kick-off.
I’m not pedantic...I’m merely overly concerned with minute details.
Any more attendances from last weekends games? 423 was attendance in Finn Park.
