According to a post on the SPA forum (figures presumably taken from a report in one of the papers):
According to the league there was an average of 1,700 for all games in the premier division last season. Average of 430 for the 1st division.
The last weekend of the season attracted the most amount of people.
The first w/e attracted the 2nd most.
July and August had the lowest attendances.
Cork v Bohs on the last day had the highest attendance.
"We" were within 100 on both counts, not too shabby.

Attendances Heres some statistics.
Pretty worrying actually - started out high, but attendances dropped away all season, the most in the summer, when attendances are supposed to be up because of summer soccer, and only came back up for the big finale. Seems to blow away the myth about summer soccer being good for attendances, whatever about Europe, anyway...Originally Posted by Sheridan
First Division would be nearer if I had all the attendances - the blank Athlone, Limerick, Monaghan and Kilkenny attendances would drag the 515 down still further. Still, nice to see it's reasonably trustworthy anyway. Wouldn't mind seeing a club-by-club breakdown though - see who's the biggest exaggerators!Originally Posted by Sheridan
