Agree with your there Swinford Fc,he was solid as a rock at the back all day long, cleaned his man every time. Had the pleasure of watching the game and seeing the lads lift the trophy which was a great achievement for Val and the team.everyone played well but the left back was my man of the match too.some great celebrations back in town after which included our two centre halves Sean kav and Michael Walsh belting out the tunes till the early hours.bad heads all round today but it was worth it. Back to the league now some massive games to come will be a close finish.
Hard luck to Conn Hawk and the lads down there.
fair play swinford, will have to settle for just the league now!!!!!
No arguement here, man of the match for sure, he was in good shape when I was chatting to him Monday at 4, that damn drink again![]()

Killala V Snugboro. No Ref showed up. Over 100 quid in fuel costs not to mention guys losing time off work. Only 5 games down for tonite. Hardly a shortage of refs. What have the ref society to say? Joke in this day and age.![]()
Yes very disappointing, that he never turned up, despite numerous atempts to contact him, the ML secatary, the chairman and secetary of the mayo's referee society none could be contacted. There was only 5 junior matches down but there was matches in the U18 and U14's leagues down for tonight.
Not the first time that ref has not shown up in Killala with both teams ready to go. Very frustrating especially for the away team who has to travel - on a Thursday evening to make it worse.
Back to the bread and butter now this week - big games coming up next saturday!
John,
Can you please pass on this information to the League clubs as soon as possible:
Players / Substitutes who urinate on the touch line/surrounds of the Field of Play when facilities are available will be sent off. Technical Officials who do same will also be removed from the Technical Area.
This incident occurred in the Iorras Aontaithe v Castlebar Celtic match tonight when a player left the Field of Play without my permission and urinated beside the Technical Area. He was shown a straight red card for doing so. He was unaware that he had done anything wrong.
Thanks for your cooperation with this.
Regards,
Damien

any views on it, it would not be very good if there was women or young kids close by. but he says that it applies to all areas of the pitch and its envirions, that includes at the back of the dugouts which is used a lot by both players and oficials at ht.

Huge weekend in premier A this weekend.... Swinford v Westport b the pick of the ties
Also the other top 2 clubs playing very tricky games against Partry and claremorris.... Who are Killala playing
A relagation 6 pointer, at home to Castlebar Celtic B, win should make us safe, lose and we could be drawn into a relagation dogfight, have Snugbora at home too play yet in the rearranged match. The Claremorris V Celtic B tomorrow match postponed again due to a bereavement.
Poor result for Swinford last nite best team won,Westport played well but I have to say the ref was shocking he gave some unbelievable decisions at time, there was three if not four throw in calls on the side I was standing and I don't know how he called them going against the linesmans calls everytime not to mention some of the desisions on the field but saying that Westport were well worth their win and will be hard stopped at this stage.
Best team I've seen this year by a long way. Only 4 games left now Ballyglass in a couple of weeks time is a huge game now
Conn rangers and ballglass overcame what on paper at least looked 2 very tough ties.... Westport beating swinford 3 0 away from home was some result! Conn rangers next game is away to Westport B, a draw would set up some finish to the league
Also well done to Killala should stay up mid table now
