Bumper crowd...lol.
Cliftonville beat Crusaders in a penalty shoot-out and it looked like a bumper crowd at the game.
Has anyone got an attendance figure, I reckon about 4,000 from the highlights on TV?
Bumper crowd...lol.
Until The Last Rebel!
It is in Irish League terms as the average crowds at league games is only about 500 or less and a top of the table league clash attracts about 2000+ at best.
Decent crowd for a league cup final north or south it's a minor cup in either league.
I read about this, as Windsor Park is so big and atmosphere can be lost, they arranged to toss a coin to hold home advantage.
I dont think the grounds are that far apart, maybe less than 5 miles, so it would have suited both, good idea really as that is a quite a good crowd to be fair .
Re general crowds, only Linfield/Glentoran games will get anything decent, I think they got close to 5k on 26/12, but both were back under 1.5k for their next respective games.
The avg last year in the IL PD was 800-850 I think, not exact but not far off.
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), first Irish club to win points in a group stage in Europe (2016).
They're within a couple of kilometres of each other.

Solitude safe-capacity is only around 2,600 as far as I know. They're not allowed to go above that. The ground itself only holds around 5,000 aside from the safe capacity.
https://kesslereffect.bandcamp.com/album/kepler - New music. It's not that bad.
They had a temporary stand put in and the game was a sell out, good crowd for a league cup final.
Here on a technicality.
828 to be precise. While the PD average down south was 1566 - almost twice as many - but then you do have almost 3 times the population we do.
Thought having the final at Solitude was an excellent idea, dont think Seaview could cope if the fixture was ever reversed though.
