Too young to have ever seen him play but heard some great stories from my grandfather and father . Rip Joe.

Number 4 shirt retired in his name.
The ball is round and has many surprises.

Great player, had the pleasure of seeing him play in my youth. Gifted centre half, very similar to style of footballer to Paul McGrath . Could really read a game brillantly. Lovely man also, always had time to talk and sign programmes after games or in the street.
    RIP Joe
