    Suggestions ... and we'll get a poll going !!
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

    EL player of the season:
    Liam Kearney
    Kevin Doyle
    Jason Byrne
    Alan Moore
    Andy Myler
    Gray (Drogs centre half)

Of that lot, Doyle would be my pick, but Im just biased.

If i were to pick a player from another club, Id have to say Alan Moore has really impressed me everytime Ive seen him.

    Owen Heary
    Stephen Gray
    Daryl Murphy
    Declan O'Brien
    Jason Byrne
    Kevin Doyle
Longford's left full back who's name has momentarily escaped me

Heart says Doyler, head says Heary

IMO Heary should win it, but I feel Jason Byrne is going to....Kevin Doyle a very close third.

From what I've seen, Wes Hoolahan.

It will probably be very hard for any Cork player to win it. Even those who would be expected to know about the league don't seem to know anyone on the City team. A good example of that is @rsehole Scully on eL Weekly, who mumbled something like "Benner" when Kevin Doyle scored, and then had to refer to everyone else on the City team as "player".............

If there is any justice, Kevin Doyle will win it by a mile, but thats not something you find a lot of in the eL.

best defence in the league doesn't get a mention
Ignore Max Power, he is no more, the future is Ron Burgundy. I'd love to be Ron Burgundy but they won't let me........

Alan Moore shouldn't be near the award. For a start he's only played half a season and secondly he's been pretty poor in the league. The only Shels players deserving of the award are Heary, Byrne, Hoolahan, Byrne II, Rogers and Williams imo. Add to that Webb, Doyle, Kearney, Foley, Devine, Murphy, Fahey, O'Brien, Gray and probably one or two others I've forgotten and the winner would come from one of those. I'd give it to either Jason Byrne or Owen Heary myself, but I am biased
