    Ready for the cup champions?

Is everyone in Waterford ready for a crack at the cup specialists? Personally, I think it's great seeing smaller clubs like Waterford making it to a cup final. However, I think this may have come too soon for Waterford. I just feel Longford's experience, class, and professionalism will be too much for ye. Regardless of the outcome, people in Waterford should be proud of their team's performances this year.

Thumbs up Hope you're right PM!

Although the League results suggests little between the two sides, I believe we have enough in the tank to beat these Munster minnows. If we play to our capacity and keep Daryl Murphy at bay we should be Cup Champions come next sunday evening for the second year on the trot!
Having said that they earned a creditable one all draw tonight against the gypsies (a last minute Grant goal denying them victory) and will be quietly confident ahead of Sunday's Flansdowne visit! This follows a 4-1 drubbing to Cork a few days previous. It will be interesting to see how we get on against them tomorrow night but I've a feeling all the focus will be on next Sunday and we could loose heavily tomorrow night (hope I'm wrong).
In Alan Reynolds, they have a hardman but a player of limited ability who's disciplinary record speaks for itself. Reynolds is a pure thug and despised by the majority of EL followers. There's no doubting however, that he's done a fine job since taking over the reigns at the RSC. Other useful players include Willie Bruton and Pat Purcell but I don't believe they have enough experience or quality in the side to overcome the holders. It is a major blow to us without the services of inspirational skipper Barry Ferguson and while I believe we will cope on the day, it could very well cost us.
I'm predicting very little between the sides next Sunday but I expect us to clinch a narrow victory and take the blue ribboned back to it's rightful home that is Flansiro, Strokestown Road.

This thread sums up longfords delusional fans. I genuinely hope waterford win sunday. Firstly you cannot be Cup champions. You are the Cup Winners.

And how are Waterford minnows or a small club?! With their tradition they are a Celtic as longford are stranraer. Unfortunatley I can see longford win again only because of experience and definitely not because of talent. If reynolds is a thug where does that leave murphy and ferguson?

All Rovers fans have jobs. It's an expensive city after all. And just to show some generosity to you lot we came up with decentralisation

A b**z fan with a job. Now that is unusual

A humble longford fan. Almost extinct.

Football goes around in circles and our day will come again. We will be back on top where we belong and you will be back in the first division where you have spent most of your time and where you really belong.

Who knows when your manager (a Rovers fan BTW) will see sense and leave the culchie b**z and come home?!

if alan went to yee, who would he manage, all the players will ahve left for clubs who, wait for it, pay them .

our board don't make silly decisions like some, so i feel we will be around for a long time to come.....

yee, well close season will be interesting .

Don't know much about that... did you register on the website or the forum because there's something there about the new site not being sorted yet and having to log in twice. Try registering on the forum itself if you haven't.

I was wondering why there were no Longford fans coming on. Pity.
