Was thinking of maybe doing the same. Roughly how many hours up Eanna? And what is the best way?

I have always gone straight up ... Thurles -> Templemore -> Birr -> Athlone etc. Roads aren't the best but you definitely dont meet as much traffic that way.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

That's merely a piece of paper.
I won't be breaking as many laws this week though as I will actually have a fully licensed driver in the car with me!

    Spot on SOC.
All members of the Rebel Army should carry provisional licences. That's the reason I still have mine, nothing to do with being too lazy to apply for my full licence or anything like that!
