    shels on the 29th

lads wouldnt it be great if we could get the same kinda crowd up in tolka like we did in that sad excuse of a ground ,its on friday week so it leaves everyone with plenty of time to go in today/tomorow and book that friday of work so we can create a home atmosphere up there and give the team a lift.
its a big game and it will give the team a huge lift in what could be a crunch match.
so people book that day off work for the cork city its in 2 weeks so there should be plenty of time for ye do it and lets enjoy the final phase of this roller coaster season
ps i ve got some dodgy pics of the waterford game ye know who ye are lads

    You're spot on there exile.
We should have a huge crowd up for this one as it will be a massive game which could define our season.
Just like Waterford, it won't be too hard to outnumber and definately outsing the Shels fans so this is a great oppurtunity to create a great atmosphere and really get behind the team and show the Shels scum who the biggest club in Ireland really is!

Lets not get ahead of ourselves though, we've got Longford and Pats first this week.

Thats the most sense anyone around here has been making in a while.

At the moment we're playing for 2nd. Secure 2nd place and then think about the outside remote unlikely prospect of 1st. To do so we'd realistically have to win the rest of our games.
    Oh no not them again

in reply to the above i said "it could be a crunch match" and even if its not people should make the trip anyway every result matters from here in

im definately up for this. i normally work friday nights so that curtails the amount of matches i can see, but this one is becoming too hot to miss.

just imagine if the pressure is on them and we're in form going into the game...

also, is this on tv? the more noise and colour, the better, if it is.

Lads, w're definitley building up a nice run - Longford is never easy, but win this one and the papers might have to have a re-think on the "in contention of Inter-toto" line. Have to agree with Corner - get in a good position for 2nd and then see what happens

Yeah last day of the season 2001.
Huge City support in Tolka as we beat Shels to cost them the league (Bohs beat Kilkenny the same day) and get ourselves into Europe.

Looking back that win probably bought Liam Murphy another two seasons.

I'll be at a wedding, so I'm afraid I'll only be present in spirit.
So for that reason i'm afraid I'll be hoping for televised coverage.

Hopefully we can beat Longford and Pat's which will set the game up nicely, should be a cracker. If we can repeat the performance we gave in Tolka earlier in the season, this time we can come away with three points.

Lads I'll be back in Dublin for training that day but must get back to West Cork for a family thing.
Anyone going straight down after the game?
Back to the city would nearly do.
    I should manage from there.

Just as long as its not your own wedding eh!?

This Shels match could make or break both teams title aspirations, as in reality neither team looks unbeatable at the moment, ie. a 100% run in is unlikely. Ive given the family notice to expect a son in exile, for a night at least, and I'm hoping to get their!
