Lally trials with Bury
Coca-Cola League II side BURY blooded two trialists, Steve Morrison and Cork City's Ray Lally, in Thursday night's reserve game at Burnley.
Irish youngster Lally, 19, has been playing Eircom League football for City, and played 64 minutes for Bury in their 0-0 draw with Burnley.
A former Munster Senior League player in the Snickers All-Ireland Youth Inter League, Lally is highly rated and is currently being watched by a number of clubs in the second and third Division in England.

Last time he kicked a ball apart from U-21 matches was at half time in some game this season. He played "Kick the bar" dressed in the doggy outfit.
When Oisin from RedFM announced who it was, there was an owl's chorus of "Who?" in the stand.
It just goes to show how much talent there is in the club coming through the U-21s when somebody of Lally's talent is seen by, and known by, so few supporters.
AFAIK, he has not even made the bench for City yet. But then, just because he is given a trial by the reserves in a Coca Cola League 2 side (effectively England Div 3) it does not mean that he can break into City's panel just yet. EL teams' standards must be on a par with Coca Cola League 1 at this stage.

he's a decent player, but I don't think he's ready to break into the city team yet. if he fancies dropping down to a lower level for a bit to get some experience, might do him some good![]()
he must have come straight back after the game because he was out in college friday morning..ray is a very handy player..he's a great one for the future just needs some more experience
