With Shannon, Salmon and Rice in their squad Longford could generate some great headlines this year.

Gabriel Sava
Mark Rossiter
Andy Boyle
Brian Gartland
Dane Massey
Sean Gannon
Richie Towell
Stephen O'Donnell
John Mountney
Kurtis Byrne
Daryl Horgan
Chris Shields
Darren Meenan
Pa Hoban
David McMillan
Ciaran O'Connor
Would Kurtis Byrne not be considered more an attacker, albeit in the wide role?
Also not sure if young O'Connor would make the bench just yet, also if Higgins signs as expected tomorrow, and possibly Keith Ward if he can prove his fitness, SK may consider Shields for defensive cover, but he had a fine second half of 2013 as a MF, and a very improved one at that.
If Higgins and Ward sign that will take it to 18 + O'Connor if he gets into the first squad, I think that will be the budget spent and the rest.

8 defenders, 2 for each position, maybe he wont bring in any more? I'd be very worried with injuries in that regard as Deans wouldnt be able to fill in for a huge amount of games and you cant expect an under 19 player to come in and not make mistakes so defo 1 if not 2 more CB's needed. That team is also crying out for a winger.

Rice can play CB if it's necessary. Tyrell can play there too. Agreed on the need for a winger but there's still one or two to come in yet I'd say.

The only guarantee there is that when Longford start to completely sh!t the nest, their top players, such as Rice and Sullivan will be the first dropped to the bench for someone brought in from whoever is bottom of the table. It's almost as if Cousins loves running away with the league half way through the season, get's bored, and decides he prefers losing the play-offs.

What in the name of **** sort of ****e are you talking Nidge?
I'm sure Rice and Sullivan (and all other players in the squad for that matter) will/won't be in the starting 11 depending on their respective form and fitness at any given time during the season. Guaranteeing they'll be dropped when we "**** the nest". Christ.
True, he played there a bit in his previous spell with us and was very good, though obviously that's a good while ago. I thought you meant Davy O'Sullivan there for a minute had to stop and remind myself we've another Sully. Cousins does some strange things tactically but nothing quite like that.
I'd imagine he'll be an automatic choice in centre midfield but I meant in case of an emergency.

Nottingham Forest are currently playing a centre-half as first-choice striker so stranger things have happened. Perhaps Cousins sees him as a modern-day Chris Sutton. That's a good point about the names though. You wouldn't want to be mixing up your Sullys next year, especially with Pat's short fuse. I assume, like Ricer, that Pat got certain guarantees in his contract with regard to Sully naming rights. I'd expect a statement from the club shortly.
