    Tommy McConville RIP

Dundalk and League Of Ireland legend Tommy McConville has passed away.

Tommy was one of the best players I've had the priviledge of watching.

    A real gentleman, as well.

    May he rest in peace.

LoI legend. I remember as a youngster feeling that the phrase "McConville-Keely-Dunning-Lawlor" pretty much translated as "No way through". RIP

Shocked, just on skype with my Dad, then saw this. Knew him well through family, coached young Jason. RIP Tommy!

Very sad news. Mac was a gentleman off the pitch and great craic and he was a superb player. Even playing at Summer league level well into his fifties he was head and shoulders above everyone.

    RIP

Fantastic send off today, well over 1,000 in attendance, nice touch also going past oriel park and into the town centre for the final journey. His great friend Dermot Keely spoke very well.
