The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Whats the thing with Cork fans hating Shels so much, the 20 crazy Cork fans in Oriel Park tonight were almost non stop signing about them.

Funniest chant was the 'Lets pretend we scored a goal' then jumping widly together, seemed like they were having some end of season party.

Watch out for Towell and Hoban goals on MNS, Dillon's wasnt bad either. Corwd sent home in great mood, and why not, it was a superb season.

Bohs still not safe. Not sure about Heary, I think they were too quick in getting rid of Callaghan. They have some decent players at Bohs and getting beat by Bray at home in a game they could have secured their safety is not good enough.

I reckon we'd be relegated by now if we'd kept Callaghan. For whatever reason the players didn't play for him this season and, despite the high esteem with which he is held at the club, Bohs just didn't have any more time to give him to turn it round. Heary got immediate results and has kept it going with a few expected and some unexpected results and hiccups. Compare their records. Sickened that we're not yet safe but fingers crossed. I blame Limerick.

The one consistent thread through all the various names/owners/short history of any Cork team is a dislike of anything remotely Shels related, it's nice in a way. When you're new to a sport then its always good to dislike a team that's been around for 120 years . Still at least the ladies gaa team won something this year, keeps them up at the very top of sport in the country.....
