Close call in the end but hopefully a lesson learned about finishing off weaker opposition (ie the Kazakhstan match).
Ireland through in the turkey shoot out.
Iceland had already won their group, ahead of Switzerland and Greece.
Yet another remarkable success notched up, to mark the accomplishment of what can be achieved by a progressive revamp which encourages kid to play technical football with confidence.
Ireland need to give up the fags and change their ways.
Close call in the end but hopefully a lesson learned about finishing off weaker opposition (ie the Kazakhstan match).

Always focussing on perceived negatives, Dodge
Always associating a step backward as a failure. How will you ever learn?
That negative waste of energy is holding you back.
Yes, it is a fact that Iceland lost heavily to the Swiss who are a top youth side, but did that effect their confidence? did they start lumping the ball in their next game?
In the final game, they played their football on the ground and outplayed the rated Israelis.
The same rated israelis that finished bottom of the group, despite playing the thournament at home?

Dodge, you are beyond recovery.
Indeed, it was the same Israelis who settled into their groove and beat the 2nd best youth side in Europe, the Swiss.
If you're not being funny and you're not being serious, I assume the only remaining option is that you're trolling?
Confirmation from UEFA of Ireland's qualification: http://www.uefa.com/under17/news/newsid=1704902.html
Just the whole "Iceland good, Ireland bad, me right, everyone else wrong" stuff gets quite tiresome after a while, especially when whole lorries are driven through the gaps in your argument.
I assume this was never in doubt, by the way? Just a case that it's nice to see it in writing?
When's the draw for the next round so?
[thought bubble]...Thank God Kinger and Geysir never came off, that fella is coping some flak...[end thought bubble]
Here they come! It’s the charge of the “Thanks” Brigade!
Lads maybe ye could stop the bitch festing and discuss the under 17s or does having 1000s of posts make ye immune from normal rules? I think this is a group of players who are technically excellent but lacking physically size wise. Grealish, Byrne mcglade and hayes look weak as. Great to see us(thanks Kazahstan TV!) playing passing football through midfield and having skillful attacking players. Looking forward to the rest of the season maybe we willget the elite group at home
Group 5: Serbia, Netherlands (holders), Republic of Ireland, Albania
The UEFA draws continue today and our U17 squad are the latest team to be drawn. They have been drawn in the 2011/2012 Elite phase qualifiers where they will face Holland, Serbia and Albania. Defending champions, Holland, will host the group and it takes place from March 22nd to 27th. Only one team from the group will qualify for the European championship finals in Slovenia next May.
