What's the story with David O'Leary in midfield, has he signed back?

Been saving the pennies all year to pay his compensation this time round have ye?

I don't expect he'll be signing for us, we don't need another central midfielder for starters. Just wondering.

He is training with us at the moment so hopefully something is tied soon. With us since 17 though so compensation doesn't give him much options.

I presume Lims have offered him an improved contract otherwise he might walk ?

Only have to offer the same or improved as his previous contract to stop a player being allowed to just walk. If no one is willing to pay compensation I think his only other option than us is junior soccer.

Toland?! Hah! That's funny...he wasn't good enough for Harps. Never made the grade at all. One of those players I wasn't in the slightest bit disappointed to see let go by Horgan.

McCaffrey came in during the summer to us but made very little impression really. He was never going to shift Towell and O'Donnell but when he did play he didn't really do much. I'd be a bit concerned if that is type of players that Derry are looking at.
