I'd be shocked by that one to be fair.
Contract talks haven't progressed much either with some of the players from last year already mentioned, so I'd say there won't be a lot of news until one side backs down or they compromise. Probably December before pre season starts up.

The only way Nzuzi will be gone is if he gets an offer from the UK. I would expect the club to offer him a contract. He really grew into an important player for us.

I've been told by a player today that things are moving along now he expects there to be more re-signings announced very soon.

It seems Stuart is gone back to Scotland for a break and things will move on when he gets back sometime next week.

Lots are "gone" back to England and so on as the season is over. So unless the club announce it we really don't know who's coming or staying

We turned down Elding who has now signed for Cork. Can not understand that decision at all.

He'd never give you enough work rate in the system Taylor likes to play. And he seems very stuck with that system, so Curran suits that one up top perfectly. Lets just pray he doesn't get injured...ever.
I heard he was asking for big money too, so it'd have taken a large chunk of the budget for us to sign him.
Still, would have been nice to see him and Curran up front in a 2. Potential for a lot of goals.

I don't see the big deal with Curran good player and hard worker but doesnt score anywhere near enough wastes a lot of chances. If we play only one striker I'd rather Gaffney.

I think Curran is top class but needs a man up top with him it winger playing off him. The amount of times he won the ball, held it up and ended up having to go backwards with it was ridiculous.

curran is quality at what he does but doesn't get enough goals and that could be down to lack of service no quality out wide all season and no midfielder getting in the box.. he will live and die by his signings I like Horgan from cork and I see Marty waters on the transfer list along with I think benson from ucd good attacking players who will eiter provide or chip in with goals themselves..

This is why if we are gonna play with one id rather it be Gaffney out of our current options. Tbh id rather we just changed the system it didnt work with the players we have and i think it is a poor system overall not offering enough support to the front men.

For me Danny Galbraith would look much better but for the system we play loads of time he got in great crossing positions only to look up and see either just one or nobody at all in the box.

Horgan looks likely to sign for an English club. Marty Waters would be a fine signing but can see him signing for a Dublin club.

I definitely agree with you. He doesn't score near enough goals and can at times be wasteful. He'd be a perfect foil for Gaffney if we ever played the 2 together in a 4 4 2.
I don't think Gaffney would give you enough work rate to be up on his own.

It all points to the system anyway in my opinion. Unless we bring in the players to play that way, it will need to be changed.

I just hope we are working on a few players anyway things have gone very quiet about it. If we just wait and see whats left in a few weeks then i cant see us improving much on last season at all. Already missed out on 2 players that would have been great signings for us.

I presume you mean Elding and Lee Lynch? Saw he signed for St Pats earlier.
Shane Tracy and Barry Ryan are on the PFAI transfer list too. Club haven't budged on their offers apparently.

Anyone else finding it a bit depressing seeing other teams making signings and us so quiet?

Can't wait to see a few signings being made to bring a bit of buzz back about next season.

    We're usually slow movers anyway.
Priorities to sign up from last year have to be O'Leary, Tracy, Ryan, Gaffney € Oji.
We'll need a good few players in to replace what we lost.

Its very annoying that this happens every year. The whole thing this season was that Taylor would get a better squad because last season all the best were taken when he got here but all the best are being taken now and we seem to be doing nothing. No re-signings is the real worrying part imo.

It is starting to get a little concerning alright, but plenty of time to go. Taylor might be looking abroad anyway.
