Maybe. I am capable of self-deprecation. Either way we are all bricking it now aren't we?

If Wilson & McCarthy are out, the spine of the team has taken a huge hit.

If McCarthy is out it is a massive loss. But indications from the game following on from the apparent "hammy" is that he's fine.

McCarthy and McGeady start against Wolfsburg, Coleman on the bench and Gibson not in the squad.

Same hamstring he missed the Ireland games with. Hopefully he's just faking this one like he did to get out of the Scotland game.

ouch, McGeady pours a litre of ink onto his copybook.
Even Shane would have dispatched that one.

Great pass to put Mirallas through now but the Belgian started his run too early. He looks very good in central areas (once it's not the centre of the goal).

Indeed, McGeady is growing into the vision that O'Neill has for him

Good old martinez.misses two ireland games with an injury martinez says needs to be managed yet he can play fine before and straight after ireland matches including one europa league game. And now he has played him last week and again mid week in a game that they didn't need to win.

Great management by martinez. Interesting if he turns out Saturday though :P

Martinez didn't look his normal chirpy self after Mirallas' goal to seal it. I wonder if the injury was on his mind, with Barry and Gibson also out it's a big blow. Everton have tough trips to Tottenham and Manchester City imminent as well, having just got back into top four contention. The Europa League probably offers their best chance of reaching the promised land though, at least they've top spot secured in the group now.

I doubt he'll play on Saturday as Everton play on Sunday this week. But I'd be surprised if he was playing then either as he looked in a lot of discomfort and presumably won't make the mistake of playing on the injury again.

I didn't see the game; any indication as to how long he'll be out for? Is it a (more serious) tear?

It may well have been poor judgment on the part of Martinez, but will it at least now expel any flirtations you might have had with the daft conspiracy theory?

I had heard whispers recently that the natives had started to become restless with Roberto and just after reading that the jeers started with ten minutes to the end last night. The reporter mentioned that performances have been extremely poor compared to the last season and that the honeymoon is well and truely over for Roberto. Interesting.........
