Coleman & McCarthy started at Old Trafford tonight in Wayne Rooney's testimonial. Gibson on the bench. Scoreless at ht.

On a loosely related note, Roberto Martinez is the new Belgium manager... didn't see that one coming.

Definitely not, a touch fortunate to land that one maybe.

They'll score lots and concede even more.
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

    Everton trail Spurs 0-1.

Barry didn't cover himself in glory for the Spurs goal.

    McCarthy on the bench.

Everton on the back foot and looking pretty toothless.

2:0 down when james came on, 1:2 during his time on the pitch resulting in a 3:2 defeat.

Verdict McCarthy must start the next game to keep their title hopes alive.

Congrats to Harry Charsley who won the EPL2 (u23 league champions) with Everton. One of the first names on the team sheet by all accounts.

...and a fairly regular goal scorer also. Will hopefully get a contract extension this summer and the opportunity to prove himself in first team football next season either for Everton or on in a loan move. Also congrats to U-21 International Courtney Duffus who was also a regular in the team, albeit often off the bench, and pitched in with a few goals and to potential international Mateusz Hewelt

They have given opportunities to academy lads this season at Everton, hopefully this continues and he gets some outings.

I believe Tyrone Duffus (Courtney's younger brother) was also called into the squad a few times although didn't make any appearances. Sam Byrne, who recently made his comeback from that awful leg break, also is listed in the squad with a few appearances. Will be very interesting to see if Byrne comes back the same as he was before.

When I was reviewing the squad yesterday, it was interesting in that Courtney had a Jamaican and English flag beside his name and Tyrone had an Irish and English flag beside his (on the site I was referring to - transfermarkt I think - every other source I have checked since has him down with an Irish flag). I knew there was a Duffus at Everton that played for us but thought that it must have just been Tyrone and chuckled at the coincidence of two people with the Duffus surname being on the same youth team and not related. Doh! Turns out I'm the bigger Doofus.
