Probably his fitness levels are so low he only needs 10 minutes of game time to make that fitness improvement.
On for the last 9 minutes, not sure why Martinez left it so late as they were getting overrun in midfield.

I only started watching about 15 mins ago and I can't believe its 3-0 to Everton.
Hard to credit but we have 4 of our players out there with Everton, that's some kind of record isn't it?
Think Gibbos first pass was a poor one gave the ball away, but had a half decent shot on
goal right after.
McGeady has looked useful in the bits and pieces of the game I have seen.
4-0 now, the only one of the four English sides to give a good account of themselves against German opposition. In fact, the only English team in European competition to impress.
Wilson Whelan Walthers Ireland?
Anyway, was Coleman involved in a clash of heads?
I had popped out to the shops but seen some talk in the chat box about some head injury?
Coleman off to a standing ovation ( that was when there was mention of some clash of heads).
Now I have just realised the game was on ITV4 when I was watching on a crappy stream!!
They should show the highlights, so I will record that.

Ireland wasn't involved the European season, was he? Even then, the three Stoke Irish weren't all first team regulars and Stoke didn't play a full team in Europe, whereas with Everton there are three nailed on starters and one who could still force his way in.
Coleman just got the whack of a Wolfsburg player's head, but he didn't seem to be concussed.
Fight!
Watched the full game. McCarthy was absolutely excellent throughout the match and was for me comfortably man of the match. Efficient in front of the back 4, made very good use of the ball, and when he ventured forward created momentum time and again. Interplay for Naismith's goal was superb. Made one incredible goal saving tackle on Aaron Hunt late on when a goal was certain. McGeady played very well, and played some superb balls across the pitch and through the channels. Linked well with Coleman. Coleman was his usual impressive self, but less so than the other two. Everton looked good at times.
Here they come! It’s the charge of the “Thanks” Brigade!
From what I saw of the game I would agree, I was impressed with McCarthy (pretty rare for me) and McGeady, didn't seem much of Coleman a part
from the goal, I have the game downloaded so I may watch more of it if I have the time. - Just seem where Coleman took a know to the head,
was not much really, the McGeady penalty seemed to be just outside.
James McCarthy tackle
To be fair, it's nothing compared to John Stones' tackle that followed.
Good question, after some investigation, I came up with this: http://irish-abroad.appspot.com/Blog...70032691016583
Everton had 4 of our players (current squad members) out on the pitch.
Stoke only had 3, the 3Ws.
