Liam McAlinden also opened the scoring in that game.
Can't find a thread about him, made his debut for Wolves in the Johnstone Paint Trophy tonight, conceded twice but saved twice in the penalty shoot out
Matt Doherty also scored in the shoot out to send Wolves through to the next round

League debut for Wolves for McCarey, reports that Hennessey refused to play?
<EDIT>
Seems Hennessey refused to play amid rumours of a bid from Crystal Palace, didn't want to do anything to ruin his chances of a move

Yep, Hennessy refused to play. Very poor attitude but McCarey's gain. With Ikeme out for the next month, this is a huge opportunity for McCarey to stake his claim. He's already shown he's good enough for League One.
"We are fortunate to have some excellent goalkeepers here at Wolves, with Carl Ikeme and Aaron McCarey as the senior men and some more good young goalkeepers in behind."
Aaron moved from Monaghan United a few years ago. Looks like, from the posts above, the jersey is his for now. Great opportunity for him.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
Ikeme will be back at some point in February but he seems to have a bit of a dodgy hand ever since he punched that wall, so you never know.
Failed a test for “a non-performance-enhancing substance”.

"We lost because we didn't win"- Ronaldo
This reminds me of an episode of Match of the Day I watched at the time of Adrian Mutu's cocaine suspension. Mark Lawrenson commented that he didn't understand why Mutu took cocaine, as it wouldn't help his performance, to which Alan Hansen responded "perhaps he used it to improve his performance elsewhere!". Cue lecherous guffaws from Lineker and Hansen but poor old Lawrenson had a deer-in-headlights look as he said "I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean"
The hearing has been resolved today. he's been found guilty for failing an out of competition drug test for a non-performance enhancing substance, and been suspended for four months. However, the FA have accepted that he didn't knowingly ingest the substance, and so have backdated the sentence to April, with the remainder suspended for two years. The upshot of it all is that he's available for selection for Wolves effective immediately

Short statement from McCarey himself
I haven't played the video yet but he looks very embarrassed by the situation...
