McCarthy's Bar author dies

The award winning author of the bestselling novels McCarthy's Bar and The Road to McCarthy has died in London.
Pete McCarthy, who was 50-years-old and a broadcaster, travel writer and humorist, lost his battle against cancer on Wednesday.
He is survived by his wife and three children.

Have Boot Disk, will travel
First I knew of it that he was even ill.
R.I.P. That was the only book I read of his and I thought it was a brilliant read, very funny.
The Road to McCarthy, was it?

Jeez! Didn;t even know he was ill! Loved that book-reminded me of Cork when reading it-many a laugh and familiar town he'd been to.
Highly recommend the book to anyone from Ireland. Great author, RIP...
