Fine here. It'd take a major, major catastrophe to take Google down, their setup is amazing. They do delivery using bespoke DNS and load balancing which collates information like the requested domain name, URL and source IP to delivers the appropriate "site". If you're in Ireland, chances are the site will be served from their facility here, but if that whole facility went down, Google would still appear, just delivered from another facility. Very cool stuff.

Sounds like a browser hijacker to me. Might be an idea to run Ad Aware and Spybot just in case. Google will find both for you.
